what the heck am I looking at?

After Antonio posted that strange Ferrari I got to looking for alternate pics of it and happened to stumble across some bizarre attempts by designers to try something radical. Never found any others of that Ferrari but check out this Porsche from the 1971 INDY 500 race!

Phil,the Number 8 "8 Ball" is a supermodified class "stock" car driven by Jim Shampine,famous for dominating the biggest sm race in the U.S. held at Oswego Speedway,believe in New York state. Youtube for highlights just search Oswego,supermodifieds or Jimmy Shampine and you will see a lot more very odd looking incredibly fast race cars. The one below it is a Can Am series car not sure who made it though.
